I created this web site because my mother and father never told us about our family relatives (other than our immediate family). I have heard other people say the same about their families. When I asked my parents about certain grandparents, they said that they were never told about them. So, the purpose of this web site is to share the history I have found about the maternal and paternal sides of my family. It is also here to share with historians, researchers, and genealogists.

I would like to thank the CULLEN, LOWE and WATTS families for the history and photographs they shared, and would especially like to thank Nancy & Bill TAYLOR, Mima (TAYLOR), and Dale SEIBERT for their shared family history and photographs.

We moved from Columbus, Ohio to Maryland in 1951, when my father received a government job after graduating from Ohio State University. Moving had a real impact on us. It kept us from seeing and communicating with other family members in Ohio on a regular basis. We did, however, travel to Nelsonville and Columbus for a two week vacation each year until I was about 16 years old.

As the amount of information gathered here seems to grow, please keep in mind that this web site represents family research that is in progress. I will include more family information, history, and photographs when it becomes available.

Sources I cite for a given piece of data are the best I have found to date. I'm always working to improve the quality of the cited sources. Please let me know if there are any corrections to be made. I would appreciate any help in this matter.

In order to respect the privacy of living descendants of our families, I am limiting the family history to those family members born 100 or more years ago.

This web site starts off with our Great Great Great Grandfather, John TAYLOR from County Fermanagh, Ireland. He moved to Aurelius Township in Washington County Ohio sometime in the 1820's, and in 1831, married Sarah BELL from Licking Co., OH.
