A 37 marker test (8BA4P) was made from William Howard "Bill" Taylor (b: 1930), who is descended from William "Billy's" first wife Charlotte M. SMITH. This DNA test was made through FamilyTree DNA in June 2005.
My (Bruce W. Taylor, b: 1949) 37 marker test (AJKKZ) was made in June, 2005 also. I am descended from William "Billy's" second wife Rachel WOLFORD. William Howard "Bill" TAYLOR (above) is my Half 3rd Cousin.
What the above and below information tells us, that, our TAYLOR family only has paperwork (from our Bible) showing that John TAYLOR was born in the County of Fermanagh, Ireland, on a "Good Friday" in 1796. Since we now have Y-DNA samples from both sides of John's first son William "Billy," we can now confirm that our TAYLOR family came from Ireland. Also, the Y-DNA test confirms that we have a Haplotype of Ia ("I" as in ink), which means we came from the British Isles.
